The Roulette offers the players many different betting possibilities. In general, the bets are divided into three classes: inside bets, outside bets and special bets. The terms inside and outside bets are related to the placement of the chips on the layout. The layout consists of all numbers surrounded by special fields for odd and even, red and black and other bets.

If the player is placing an inside bet he has several options. He can place a straight-up bet. This is the most risky but financially most attractive bet because the player is betting on a single number. To place a straight-up bet, the player places his chips in the middle of the number square. The player has also the opportunity to combine different number in blocks of two, three, four or six numbers called split, street, corner or six line respectively. To place a split, the player puts his chips on the middle of the edge between the corresponding number squares, for square, he puts his chips on the intersection between four squares. For a street, the player needs to place his chips either on the left or on the right edge of the corresponding three fields. The exact placement depends on the special layout of the roulette table. A six line is a bet on two neighboured streets. A special inside bet is the trio which is the combination of the fields “0”, “1”, and “2”. For betting on a trio, the player needs to place his chips on the intersection between the corresponding squares.

The outside bets have better odds at winning but also smaller payouts. The three bets with the highest payouts are: the number is odd or even, the pocket is red or black, and the number between and 18 or 19 and 36. In addition, the player can make a Dozen or a Column Bet. In both cases the player bets that the ball will fall in one of the twelve numbers. For Dozen Bet, the numbers are divided into the groups of: 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. Otherwise the numbers are according to a line at the layout.

Very special numbers on the roulette wheel are “0” and “00”. Even their colour is different – they are usually green. Since they are not “odd” or “even” as well, or within the range bet, any of the outside bets will lose if the zeros are the winner ball. Besides special bets, every player has the opportunity to bet directly on the “0” with the same odds and margins as he would bet on any other number.
